Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is applicable to Private Organizations AND Public Companies as all have to adhere to the mandate of this law and comply accordingly.
(i) more than 10 women employees have to form an
Internal Committee to look into the safety of women staff. AND (ii) less than 10 women employees have to be
enrolled with Local Committee for their respective districts. (iii)
The Internal Committee has to have an external member on the committee, mandatorily to ensure on
transparency and fairness.
